Grant Thornton ends power of attourney granted to Cooperativistas

From Bolivia Solidarity Campaign in the UK

Grant Thornton has sent a letter extinguishing the power of attorney that was given to Prudencio Pacheco, FERECOMIN representative in September 14 this year.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and we will continue to campaign against Grant Thornton, however this was the most urgent demand by the Trade Union in Oruro (COD), and we need to have a meeting and discuss the best way to continue our solidarity campaign to help fullfill the remaining demands.

Grant Thornton extingue carta de poder a FERECOMIN por mina en Huanuni

Campaña de Solidaridad con Bolivia – Londres 19 de Octubre

En conversación telefónica con Amancay Colque, de la Campaña de Solidaridad con Bolivia en Gran Bretaña, Malcolm Shierson, de la firma de auditoría británica Grant Thornton, aceptó extinguir los poderes que había entregado a FERECOMIN (Prudencio Pacheco) por la mina de Huanuni.

Inmediatamente la embajada de Bolivia en Londres, contactada por la Campaña de Solidaridad con Bolivia (Bolivia Solidarity Campaign), por medio del Ministro Consejero Pablo Ossio, afirmó que recibieron la comunicación de Grant Thornton y que la misma fue remitida a la cancilleria de Bolivia
